<div><p>Learn about how you can configure Extreme Support
to use the Electronic
Service Agent™ for iSeries™ function in iSeries Navigator.</p>
<div class="section"><p>To use the Electronic Service Agent™ for iSeries function
in iSeries Navigator,
you must configure Extreme Support by doing the following steps:</p>

<ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>Verify that you have security officer (*SECOFR) authority with
*ALLOBJ, *IOSYSCFG, and *SECADM special authorities in your user profile.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>In iSeries Navigator,
expand <span class="uicontrol">Management Central</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Right-click <span class="uicontrol">Extreme Support</span> and select <span class="uicontrol">Configuration</span>.
You are shown the Extreme Support wizard.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Follow the wizard instructions to set up and configure Extreme
Support functions.</span> <div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Notes:</span> <ol type="a"><li>It is recommended that you manage your scheduled inventory tasks to avoid
duplication.</li>
<li>If you did not previously configure Universal Connection, you are given
the opportunity to configure that connection now with the Extreme Support
wizard. See <a href="../rzatj/configureintro.htm">Configure
Universal Connection</a> for more information.</li>
