<div><p>You can use Application Administration to identify which functions
a user or group may access. You can also customize access for a user or group
to specific functions.</p>
<div class="section"> <p>To do this, follow these steps:</p>

<ol><li><span>In iSeries™ Navigator,
expand <span class="uicontrol">Users and Groups</span>.</span></li>
<li><span>Select <span class="uicontrol">All Users</span>, <span class="uicontrol">Groups</span>,
or <span class="uicontrol">Users Not in a Group</span> to display a list of users
and groups.</span></li>
<li><span>Right-click a user or group, and select <span class="uicontrol">Properties</span>.</span></li>
<li><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">Capabilities</span>.</span></li>
<li><span>Click the <span class="uicontrol">Applications</span> tab.</span></li>
<li><span>Use this page to change the access setting for a user or group.</span></li>
<li><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span> twice to close the <span class="uicontrol">Properties</span> dialog.</span></li>
</ol>

online help provides details about each of the fields on the dialog.</p>
<div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> In
certain cases, a user may have read-only allowed access. This occurs when
a function has all object access and the user has all object system privilege. </div>
