The most common way to use a job description is by specifying it
in the Submit Job (SBMJOB) command. The job description (<span class="parmname">JOBD</span>)
parameter is where you specify the job description that you want this job
to use. When you define a batch job, you can use the job description in one
of two ways:</li>
<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rzaksjobattributespecify.htm">Control the job attribute source</a></strong><br />
The attributes that the subsystem assigns to jobs come from five
sources; the job description, the user's user profile, a system value, the
job issuing the Submit Job (<span class="cmdname">SBMJOB</span>) command, and the workstation
(interactive jobs only). You control from where the subsystem retrieves the
specific job attribute by specifying the source in the job description. To
modify a job description, use the character-based interface. </li>
