Gather configuration information

  1. Obtain primary and alternative numbers and connection information. If you do not know your service numbers and are not in the United States, refer to the IBM® eServer™ iSeries™ Support Web siteLink outside Information Center for more information.
  2. Turn on the modem that is connected to the electronic customer support cable.
  3. You might choose to configure your service provider information now. See Configure service provider information in the Universal Connection topic.
