Distribute software

Sometimes it is desirable to duplicate some or all of a system's programs, including the operating system, onto another system. You can also duplicate some or all of a logical partition's programs onto another logical partition. To do this with a minimum of effort and maximum benefits you need to do some planning and consider the options available for distributing software products. You can use iSeries™ Navigator or central site distribution to distribute supported products. You can also use virtual images as distribution media.

• Plan to distribute software
  You can use either iSeries Navigator or central site distribution to distribute software. The quantity and type of software that you want to distribute determines which distribution tool you should use.
