View the Product Activity Log (PAL) for logical partitions

Use Dedicated Service Tools (DST) or System Service Tools (SST) to find system reference codes for logical partitions.

The product activity log (PAL) allows you to display or print system, Licensed Internal Code, software components, and I/O device data that has been logged.

It also provides data summaries, displays reference code descriptions, allows you to work with removable media statistics, and allows data to be sorted.

Most SRCs display in the PAL for the logical partition that caused the SRC to appear. However, some SRCs may only appear in the PAL for the primary partition since it has the controlling authority over all other partitions. For example, SRCs resulting from processor or main storage problems appear in the PAL of the primary partition.

You can view the product activity log (PAL) from Dedicated Service Tools (DST) or System Service Tools (SST) in the desired partition:

Attention: Make sure that you choose to display *ALL entries.
