drives.</p>

||
|
|
<div class="section"><h4 class="sectiontitle">Deleting Linux drives using iSeries™ Navigator</h4><p>To delete
|
||
|
|
a Linux drive
|
||
|
|
using iSeries Navigator,
|
||
|
|
complete the following steps:</p>
|
||
|
|
<ol><li>Shut down the Linux server to which the drive is linked.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Unlink the Linux drive that you want to delete.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click <span class="uicontrol">All Virtual Disks</span> under <strong>Integrated Server
|
||
|
|
Administration</strong>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Right-click the drive you want to delete.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Select <span class="uicontrol">Delete</span> to delete the drive.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click <span class="uicontrol">Delete</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
</ol>
|
||
|
|
<p>To delete multiple Linux drives simultaneously, hold down
|
||
|
|
the control key (Ctrl) and click each of the drives you want to delete. Then
|
||
|
|
right-click one of the selected drives and click <span class="uicontrol">Delete</span>.</p>
|
||
|
|

<div class="section"><h4 class="sectiontitle">Deleting Linux drives using CL commands</h4><p>To delete
|
||
|
|
a Linux drive
|
||
|
|
using a CL command, complete the following:</p>
|
||
|
|
<ol><li>Shut down the Linux server to which the drive is linked.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Unlink the Linux drive that you want to delete.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Type in <kbd class="userinput">WRKNWSSTG</kbd>. Press <span class="uicontrol">Enter</span>. <p>The
|
||
|
|
Work with Network Server Storage Spaces display appears. Type <span class="uicontrol">4</span> in
|
||
|
|
the Opt column next to the storage space that you want to delete. Press <span class="uicontrol">Enter</span>.
|
||
|
|
The Confirm Delete Network Server Storage Space display appears.</p>
|
||
|
|

||
|
|
<li>Alternatively, you can type <kbd class="userinput">DLTNWSSTG</kbd> on the command
|
||
|
|
line. Press <span class="uicontrol">Enter</span>. The Delete Network Server Storage
|
||
|
|
Space display appears.</li>

||

<li>Press <span class="uicontrol">Enter</span>. You see a message at the bottom of
|
||
|
|
the display confirming that the storage space was deleted successfully.</li>
