<div><p>If your system time is off by more than 2 hours and you need to
|
||
|
|
change the system time immediately, you need to make a manual change to the
|
||
|
|
time of day system value.</p>
|
||
|
|
<div class="section"><p>If your system time is off by more than 2 hours and you do not
|
||
|
|
need to change the system time immediately, you can use multiple time adjustments
|
||
|
|
until the desired time value is reached.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p>There might be a number of
|
||
|
|
reasons that your system time is off by more than 2 hours:</p>
|
||
|
|
<ul><li>The time zone (QTIMZON) system value is not set properly.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>The time maintenance application is not functioning appropriately.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>The offset from UTC (QUTCOFFSET) system value is not set correctly.</li>
|
||
|
|
</ul>
|
||
|
|
<p>Before manually changing the system time, verify that the following
|
||
|
|
settings are correct:</p>
|
||
|
|
<ul><li>The time zone</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>The offset from UTC</li>
|
||
|
|
</ul>
|
||
|
|
<p>If the system time is still off by more than 2 hours and you need
|
||
|
|
to change the system time immediately, complete the following steps:</p>
|
||
|
|

<ol><li><span>In iSeries™ Navigator,
|
||
|
|
expand <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">My Connections</span> > <span class="uicontrol"> server-name </span> > <span class="uicontrol">Configuration and Service</span> > <span class="uicontrol">System Values</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Date and Time</span></span>.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span>On the Time page, specify the desired time value in the <span class="uicontrol">Time
|
||
|
|
of day</span> field.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span> to confirm the time of day change.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span> to close the <span class="uicontrol">Date and
|
||
|
|
Time</span> dialog box.</span></li>
