Manually change the time of day system value

If your system time is off by more than 2 hours and you need to change the system time immediately, you need to make a manual change to the time of day system value.

If your system time is off by more than 2 hours and you do not need to change the system time immediately, you can use multiple time adjustments until the desired time value is reached.

If the system time is still off by more than 2 hours and you need to change the system time immediately, complete the following steps:

  1. In iSeries™ Navigator, expand My Connections > server-name > Configuration and Service > System Values > Date and Time.
  2. On the Time page, specify the desired time value in the Time of day field.
  3. Click OK to confirm the time of day change.
  4. Click OK to close the Date and Time dialog box.
Attention: Before making a change to the time of day system value, ensure that no time-sensitive jobs are running. A system value change might cause unpredictable errors if jobs are concurrently accessing system time.
