<div><div class="section"> <p>The device description identifies the communications device that
is used by the remote device. There are no LAN-specific parameters in the
device description. To create the SNA device description, complete the following
steps:</p>

<ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>Find the create command to use. Use the <span class="cmdname">GO CMDDEV</span> command
to view of list of available commands.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Type the name of the command and press <kbd class="userinput">F4</kbd> (Prompt).</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Type the name of the device description into the corresponding
field.</span> <p>For detailed information about all the parameters and
their dependencies, see the chapter about communications device descriptions
in Communications Configuration.</p>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Press <kbd class="userinput">Enter</kbd> twice to create
the description.</span></li>
