<div><p>You can follow the instructions in this topic to copy the export
files from your iSeries™ server
to an AIX<sup>®</sup> directory.</p>
<div class="section"><p>The export files, located in the following <span class="keyword">i5/OS™</span> directory,
are the recommended way to build your applications that require access to i5/OS system-specific
functions:</p>
<p>/QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/OS400/PASE/lib</p>
<p>You can copy
these files to any AIX directory. Use the <tt>-bI:</tt> option on the AIX <tt>ld</tt> command
(or compiler command) to define symbols not found in the shared libraries
on the AIX system.</p>
<p><span class="keyword">i5/OS</span> PASE provides the following
export files:</p>

as400_libc.exp file defines all the exports from the <span class="keyword">i5/OS</span> PASE
version of libc.a that are not exported by the AIX versions of those libraries.</p>
