<div><p>Depending on the model of server you have, you can install up to
a maximum of eight IBM<sup>®</sup> Cryptographic Accelerators. You must ensure that
your server meets the hardware an software requirements to use the Cryptographic
Accelerator.</p>
<div class="section"><h4 class="sectiontitle">Hardware requirements</h4><p>The IBM e-Business Cryptographic Accelerator
(orderable feature code 4805, and hereafter referred to as the 2058 Cryptographic
Accelerator). The 4805 feature is a standard PCI card, and is supported on
the following server models: </p>
<ul><li>eServer™ i5
520, 550, 570, and 595</li>
<li>eServer i5
270, 810, 820, 825, 830, 840, 870, and 890</li>
<li>eServer i5
expansion units 5074, 5075, 5078, 5079, 5088, 5094, 5095, 5294, and 5790</li>

<div class="section"><h4 class="sectiontitle">i5/OS™ and
SSL requirements</h4><div class="p"><img src="./delta.gif" alt="Start of change" />The 2058 Cryptographic Accelerator requires OS/400<sup>®</sup> V5R2M0
(Version 5 Release 2 Modification 0) software, or subsequent i5/OS software. <div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> For
systems running V5R3M0, the Cryptographic Access Provider 128-bit (5722-AC3)
licensed program product must also be installed to enable the cryptographic
functions in the software that SSL also uses.</div>
