<h5 id="rzahqclusterwinnetinstall">Install Windows Cluster service on Windows Server 2003</h5>
<p>Use the Cluster Administrator to install Windows Cluster service on Windows
Server 2003 and to join an existing cluster. Both installing the cluster service
and joining an existing cluster require you to open the Cluster Administrator.
Open the <span class="bold">Cluster Administrator</span> from the Windows <span class="bold">Start</span> menu by selecting <span class="bold">All Programs</span>,
then <span class="bold">Administrative Tools</span>, then <span class="bold">Cluster
Administrator</span>.</p>
<p>Install and configure the Windows Cluster service by completing the following
steps.</p>
<ol type="1">
<li>Open the <span class="bold">Cluster Administrator</span>.</li>
<li> In the <span class="bold">Open Connection to Cluster</span> dialog box that
appears, in <span class="bold">Action</span>, select <span class="bold">Create
new cluster</span>.</li>
<li>Click <span class="bold">OK</span> to display the New Server Cluster wizard,
which prompts you through the installation of the Cluster service for the
first node.</li>
<li>Click <span class="bold">Next</span>.</li>
<li>Type the <span class="bold">Domain</span> (defaulted) and <span class="bold">Cluster name</span>.</li>
<li>Type the <span class="bold">Computer name</span> (defaulted).</li>
<li>Type the <span class="bold">IP Address</span> for the cluster management</li>
<li>Type the <span class="bold">Cluster Service Account User name</span>, <span class="bold">Password</span> and <span class="bold">Domain</span>.</li>
<li>Verify the <span class="bold">Proposed Cluster Configuration</span>.</li></ol>
<p><span class="bold">Join an existing cluster:</span></p>
<p>Join an existing cluster by completing the following steps:</p>
<ol type="1">
<li>Open the <span class="bold">Cluster Administrator</span>.</li>
<li>In the <span class="bold">Open Connection to Cluster</span> dialog box, in <span class="bold">Action</span>, select <span class="bold">Add nodes to cluster</span>.</li>
<li>Then in <span class="bold">Cluster or server name</span>, either type the
name of an existing cluster, select a name from the list, or click <span class="bold">Browse</span> to search for an available cluster.</li>
<li>Click <span class="bold">OK</span> to display the Add Server Cluster wizard.</li>
<li>Select one or more computer names to add to the cluster, the click <span class="bold">Add</span>.</li>
<li>Enter the domain account password for the cluster service.</li>
<li>After Cluster service has finished installing, use the Cluster Administrator
to locate and select the cluster that you just created.</li>
<li>Expand <span class="bold">Cluster Configuration</span>, <span class="bold">Network Interfaces</span>. This will open in the right panel with a list of
all <span class="bold">Local Area Connections</span>.</li>
<li>Type the network name (Local Area Connection x) for the virtual <tt>IBM&reg;
iSeries&trade; virtual Ethernet x</tt>where <tt>x</tt> matches
the <tt>*VRTETHx</tt> specified on the Cluster configuration
connection port. You need to identify this network later, so remember the
name.</li>
<li>Identify the network name (Local Area Connection x) for the virtual <tt>IBM iSeries virtual Ethernet point to point</tt>.

<li>In the <span class="bold">Cluster Administrator</span> window, expand <span class="bold">Cluster Configuration</span>, <span class="bold">Networks</span>.</li>
<li>Right-click the network name (Local Area Connection x) for the virtual <tt>IBM iSeries virtual Ethernet x</tt>and select <span class="bold">Properties</span>.</li>
<li>Select the option <span class="bold">Internal cluster communications only</span> for this network.</li>
<li>Right-click the network name (Local Area Connection x) for the virtual <tt>IBM iSeries virtual Ethernet point to point</tt>and
select <span class="bold">Properties</span>.</li>
<li>Uncheck the box <span class="bold">Enable this network for cluster use</span> for
this network.</li></ol>
<p>Configure the remaining network connections according to their need.</p>
