<h4 id="rzahjcon-auto-conf">Control automatic configuration</h4>
|
|
<p>You control automatic configuration by the AUTOCRTCTL parameter in the
|
|
token ring, Ethernet, DDI, or WLS line descriptions. This parameter can be
|
|
changed at any time. It is not necessary to vary off controllers that are
|
|
attached to these line descriptions before changing the AUTOCRTCTL parameter
|
|
to *YES or *NO.</p>
|
|
<p>Automatic configuration is controlled on a line-by-line basis. That is,
|
|
one line may specify AUTOCRTCTL(*YES) and another line may specify AUTOCRTCTL(*NO).
|
|
The automatic configuration support for LANs is not related to the QAUTOCFG
|
|
system value. The setting of QAUTOCFG has no effect on this support.</p>

|
|
<div class="notebody">When you are running APPC over TCP/IP, there is no line that
|
|
is directly associated with the APPC controller. Therefore, the APPC over
|
|
TCP/IP controllers LINKTYPE (*ANYNW) must be manually created.</div>
