<div><p>Find instructions for preparing for and performing a data migration
from both a source server that does support the V5R4 release of <span class="keyword">i5/OS™</span> and
a source server that does not support the V5R4 release of <span class="keyword">i5/OS</span>.</p>
<div class="section"><p>This topic describes how to migrate data from one server to another.
Before you begin these tasks, be sure you have completed the necessary planning.
You can migrate your data by using one of these paths:</p>
<p>If you can load <span class="keyword">i5/OS</span> V5R4 on your source server,
perform the following tasks:</p>

<li><span>Complete the migration.</span></li>
