<div><p>You can use Ping from iSeries™ Navigator to test your TCP/IP

connectivity.</p>
|
|
<div class="section"> <p>iSeries Navigator

is a graphical user interface that provides dialog boxes and wizards to configure
|
|
and manage TCP/IP.</p>
|
|
<p>To test TCP/IP connectivity by using the Ping utility
|
|
in iSeries Navigator,
|
|
follow these steps:</p>
|
|

<ol><li><span>In iSeries Navigator,
|
|
expand your <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">iSeries server</span> > <span class="uicontrol"> Network</span></span>.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Right-click <span class="uicontrol">TCP/IP Configuration</span>, and select <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">Utilities</span> > <span class="uicontrol"> Ping</span></span>.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Specify the IP address or host name. If you are testing by using
|
|
the host name, you must select the Protocol for host names.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">Ping Now</span> to send the Ping. View the
|
|
responses to your Ping in the list of results.</span></li>
|
