<div><p>This topic provides information about how to set up a validation
list for use with the Webserver search engine with the <span>IBM<sup>®</sup> Web Administration for i5/OS™ interface</span>.</p>
<div class="important"><span class="importanttitle">Important:</span> Information
for this topic supports the latest PTF levels for HTTP Server for i5/OS .
It is recommended that you install the latest PTFs to upgrade to the latest
level of the HTTP Server for i5/OS. Some of the topics documented here are
not available prior to this update. <p>A validation list contains URLs, userids, and password sets. This list
can be specified when you select to build document lists by crawling remote
web sites. To create a validation list, do the following:</p>
<ol><li>Start the <span>IBM Web Administration for i5/OS interface</span>. </li>
<li>Click the <strong>Advanced</strong> tab. </li>
<li>Click the <span class="uicontrol">Search Setup</span> subtab.</li>
<li>Expand <strong>Search Engine Setup</strong>. </li>
<li>Click <strong>Build validation list</strong>. </li>
<li>Choose validation list options:<dl><dt class="dlterm">Create a new validation list</dt>
<dd>Select this option to create a new validation list. Enter the name of
the new validation list. </dd>
</dl>
<dl><dt class="dlterm">Edit this validation list</dt>
<dd>Select this option to edit an existing validation list. Select the validation
list from the list. </dd>
</dl>

<li>Click <strong>Apply</strong>. </li>
<li>Enter validation list content options:<dl><dt class="dlterm">Action</dt>
<dd>Click <strong>Add</strong> to add a new row. </dd>
<dd class="ddexpand">Click <strong>Remove</strong> to remove an existing row.</dd>
</dl>
<dl><dt class="dlterm">URL domain filter</dt>
<dd>Enter the URL domain filter. For example, <em>ibm.com<sup>®</sup></em>.</dd>
</dl>
<dl><dt class="dlterm">Userid</dt>
<dd>Enter the Userid to be used on the URL domain.</dd>
</dl>
<dl><dt class="dlterm">Password</dt>
<dd>Enter the password to be used for the Userid on the URL domain.</dd>
</dl>
</li>
<li>Click <strong>Apply</strong>.</li>
</ol>
<p>Your new validation list can now be used when Web crawling remote sites.</p>
