<td align="left" valign="top" width="73.23232323232324%" headers="d0e18 d0e23 "><p><strong>When to use:</strong> This method should
be used if the Licensed Internal Code needs to be installed again. If you
are sure the Licensed Internal Code has been successfully installed, you do
not need to use this method. No message indicates that the Licensed Internal
Code has been installed successfully; however, messages do indicate that the
operating system has been installed successfully. If the operating system
has been installed successfully, so has the Licensed Internal Code.</p>
<p><strong>How
to use:</strong> To start an installation process again, use the instructions in
<a href="autoins.htm#autoins">Upgrading or replacing software using automatic installation</a>.</p>

<td align="left" valign="top" width="73.23232323232324%" headers="d0e18 d0e23 "><p><strong>When to use:</strong> If you are sure the
Licensed Internal Code has been installed successfully, use Method 2 to install
the operating system again. Method 2 is faster than using Method 1 because
the Licensed Internal Code does not need to be installed again. No message
indicates that the Licensed Internal Code has been installed successfully;
however, messages do indicate that the operating system has been installed
successfully. If the operating system has been installed successfully, so
has the Licensed Internal Code.</p>
<p><strong>How to use:</strong> </p>
<ol><li>Use the control panel to set the mode selector to <strong>Manual</strong>. The
function selected should be <strong>03</strong> (Start IPL).</li>
<li>Press the Enter button on the control panel.</li>
<li>Load the volume B29xx_01 in the installation device.</li>
<li>When the IPL or Install the System display is shown, set the mode selector
on the control panel to <strong>Normal</strong>.</li>
<li>Select option 4 (Perform an automatic install of the operating system)
on the IPL or Install the System display.</li>
<li>Continue with step 11 (begins with loading the next volume (B29xx_01)
under <a href="usingautoinstall.htm#usingautoinstall">Replacing software using the automatic installation method</a>.</li>

<td align="left" valign="top" width="73.23232323232324%" headers="d0e18 d0e23 "><p><strong>When to use:</strong> Use the Work with
Licensed Programs display to install only the licensed programs that failed
to install. Make sure the Licensed Internal Code and the operating system
are successfully installed.</p>
<p><strong>How to use:</strong> Determine
which products failed to install. Use option 11 (Install licensed programs)
on the Work with Licensed Programs display. To install the licensed programs
from a list, refer to <a href="addlicpgm.htm#addlicpgm">Installing additional licensed programs</a>.</p>
