<div><p>The <span class="keyword">i5/OS™</span> licensed

program records certain kinds of events and messages for use in diagnosing
|
|
problems.</p>
|
|
<div class="p">A log is a special kind of database file that is used by the system to
|
|
record this information. There are three types of logs: <ul><li><span class="uicontrol">Job logs</span>: Any job that runs on your server has
|
|
a corresponding job log which records the job's status and activities.</li>
|
|
<li><span class="uicontrol">History logs</span>: Contain information about the operation
|
|
of the system and the system status.</li>
|
|
<li><span class="uicontrol">Problem logs</span>: Are a useful tool for coordinating
|
|
and tracking all your problem management operations.</li>
