You must start journaling the table to a journal before it begins journaling
information.

To journal the table to a journal, follow these steps:

From iSeries™ Navigator,
expand the system you want to use.

Expand Databases.

Expand the database and library that you want to create the new journal
in.

Right-click a library object and click New Journal.

On the New Journal window, specify a name in the Name field.

Specify a description in the Description field.

Select a library in which to store the journal receivers.

journal default values by clicking Advanced. To create
the journal using the default values, click OK.

do not want to record the job, program and user profile information. This
minimizes the size of each journal entry but limits the selection criteria
that can be used on other journal commands.

Select Remove internal entries if you want to automatically
remove only the internal journal entries required for system restart recovery.
Removing these entries reduces the size of the journal receiver.

can edit the default values of the receiver by clicking New Receiver.
