<h3 id="rzau6fntlib">AFP font libraries</h3>
|
|
<p>When a printer writer is started for an Advanced Function Presentation™ (AFP™)-configured printer and a font is specified, the operating system
|
|
searches in these locations:</p>
|
|
<ol type="1">

|
<li>User library list</li>
|
|
<li>IBM-supplied font libraries</li></ol><p class="indatacontent">The IBM-supplied font libraries are: </p>
|
|
<ul>
|
|
<li>QFNTCPL
|
|
<p>This library contains the AFP Compatibility Fonts. These are the fonts
|
|
included with the iSeries server.</p></li>
|
|
<li>Single-byte character set font libraries numbered QFNT01 through QFNT19
|
|
and double-byte character set font libraries numbered QFNT61 through QFNT69.
|
|
<p>These are the font libraries that support various IBM® licensed programs on the iSeries server.</p></li></ul>
|
|
<p>Any of the libraries in the previous list that are found are put in the
|
|
library list of the job printing the spooled file. These libraries are then
|
|
available to the device even if they were not in the library list of the user
|
|
that created the spooled file. Also, if you have acquired additional font
|
|
resources, you can store them in these IBM-supplied font libraries. Storing
|
|
them in the IBM-supplied libraries provides widespread access to the font.</p>
|
|
<p>You can use a font that is not in one of the QFNT<span class="italic">xx</span> libraries. To do so, add the library containing the font to your library
|
|
list when you create the spooled file.</p>
|
|
