|
<p>Digital Certificate Manager (DCM) is an iSeries software product that allows you to create and manage digital certificates through a Web-based administration tool. For more information about DCM, see these topics in the iSeries Information Center:</p>

<p>To start the DCM, perform these steps:</p>
|
|
|
|
<ol>
|
|
<li><p>Start the *ADMIN instance of IBM HTTP Server for i5/OS.</p>
|
|
<p>You can start the *ADMIN server instance from the CL command line or from iSeries Navigator:</p>
|
|
|
|
<ul>
|
|
<li><strong>From the CL command line</strong>
|
|
<p>To start the *ADMIN instance from the CL command line, type:</p>
|
|
<pre>STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)</pre>
|
|
<p>and press <strong>Enter</strong>.</p></li>
|
|
|
|
<li><strong>From iSeries Navigator</strong>
|
|
<p>iSeries Navigator is the graphical interface to the iSeries server. iSeries Navigator is part of
|
|
the iSeries Access for Windows product.</p>
|
|
<p><strong>Note:</strong> For more information on iSeries Access for Windows and iSeries Navigator,
|
|
see the <a href="http://www.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/access/windows/" target="_blank">iSeries Access for Windows
|

<p>To start the *ADMIN instance from iSeries Navigator, follow these steps:</p>
|
|
|
|
<ol type="a">

<li>Start iSeries Navigator.</li>
|
|
<li>Double-click your iSeries server.</li>
|
|
<li>Select <strong>Network</strong> --> <strong>Servers</strong> --> <strong>TCP/IP</strong>.</li>
|
|
<li>Right-click <strong>HTTP Administration</strong> in the right frame.</li>
|
|
<li>Select <strong>Start</strong>.
|
|
<p><strong>Note:</strong> Do not select the <strong>Start Instance</strong> option from the menu. If the server is already started, the <strong>Start</strong> option is disabled on the menu.</p></li>

<li><p>Start your JavaScript-enabled browser. Enter this URL in the URL location or address window:</p>
|
|
<pre>http://<em>your.server.name</em>:2001</pre>
|
|
<p>where <em>your.server.name</em> is the host name of your iSeries system.</p></li>
|
|
|
|
<li><p>You are prompted for an i5/OS user profile name and password. Your i5/OS user profile must have all object (*ALLOBJ) special authority. The iSeries Tasks page appears.</p></li>
|
|
|
|
<li><p>Click <strong>Digital Certificate Manager</strong>. The Digital Certificate Manager page appears.</li></p>
|
