<div><p>The CIM standard provides the ability to develop management application
that work with the systems management data exposed by the CIM providers included
with <span class="keyword">i5/OS™</span>.</p>
<p> To work with CIM, developers should have a thorough understanding of the
CIM standard defined by the DMTF. For more information about the CIM standard,
see CIM Specification 2.2 on the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF)
Web site.</p>
<p>Pegasus on <span class="keyword">i5/OS</span> does
not support Service Location Protocol (SLP).</p>
<p>Pegasus also includes development tools, samples and reference material.</p>
<p>IBM<sup>®</sup> has
included providers with <span class="keyword">i5/OS</span> that
support basic operating system information and some performance metrics.</p>
