<div><p>To use a message file for the Standard Time names and Daylight

Saving Time names, you need to create a message file that specifies the names
|
||
to use. </p>

<div class="section">To create a message file, complete the following steps:</div>

<ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>Open a character-based interface and connect to iSeries™ A.</span></li>
|
||
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Type the following command from a command line and press F4:</span> <pre>CRTMSGF</pre>
|
||
</li>
|
||
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Specify MYTZMSG for the name of the message file.</span></li>
|
||
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Specify MYLIB for the name of the library to store the message
|
||
file, or specify the name of an existing library.</span></li>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Press Enter.</span></li>
|
||
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Complete the following steps to specify the Standard Time names
|
||
in the message file:</span><ol type="a"><li class="substepexpand"><span>Type the following command and press F4:</span> <pre>ADDMSGD</pre>

<li class="substepexpand"><span>Specify MSG1001 for the message identifier.</span></li>
|
||
<li class="substepexpand"><span>Specify MYTZMSG for the message file.</span></li>

<li class="substepexpand"><span>Specify first-level text that is enclosed in single quotation
|
||
marks. You can specify text in between the single quotation marks or leave
|
||
it blank. The single quotation marks are required.</span></li>

Standard Time' for the second-level text message, including the single quotation
|
||
marks. The first 10 characters are used for the abbreviated name and the next
|
||
50 characters are used for the full name.</span></li>
