The optical index database re-creates entries for CD-ROM and DVD devices
each time the device is varied on with media in the device. The easiest way
to reclaim the optical index for a stand-alone optical device is to vary the
device description off and on again using the Vary Configuration (VRYCFG)
command. Ejecting and re-inserting the media has the same effect. You can
issue the Reclaim Optical (RCLOPT) command for stand-alone optical
devices if you choose to do so.
