<p>VPN requires these filter rules to work properly:
|

<ul>
|
|
<li>A <strong>pre-IPSec</strong> rule to allow IKE processing over the connection.</li>
|
|
<li>A <strong>policy filter</strong> rule that defines the traffic that can use the VPN and what data protection policy to apply to that traffic.</li>
|
