or rollback operation. Sometimes the system-initiated end of commitment control
is normal. Other times, commitment control ends with an abnormal system or

The system automatically ends an activation-group-level commitment definition when an activation group ends.</li>

In some instances a commit or rollback operation is initiated by
the system for a commitment definition. These types of commit and rollback

When you perform an initial program load (IPL) after your system ends abnormally, the system attempts to recover all the commitment definitions that were active when the system ended.</li>
