Delete an unneeded or unused realm from the network authentication
service configuration.

As the network administrator, you may want to delete a realm from
the network authentication service configuration. Realms may no longer be
needed or used on a network. You may also need to remove a default realm to
recover from some iSeries-native application problems.

For example,
if you have configured network authentication service without setting up the
Kerberos server in your network, QFileSvr.400 and Distributed Data Management
(DDM) will assume that you are using Kerberos authentication. Before setting
up authentication for these products, you should delete the default realm
that you have specified during network authentication service configuration.

To
delete a realm to the network authentication service, complete the following
steps:

In iSeries™ Navigator,
expand your iSeries server > Security > Network Authentication Service > Realms.

Right-click the name of the realm that you want to delete and select Delete.

Click OK to confirm the deletion.
