and press Enter to display the System Request menu.</p>

<p>To bypass the System Request menu, press the SysRq key and type <samp class="codeph">10</samp> on
|
|
the command line. This shortcut is applicable between iSeries™ servers only.</p>
|
|
</div>
|
|
<div class="section"><h4 class="sectiontitle">For non-IBM Telnet clients</h4><p>You might drop a cascaded
|
|
Telnet session when you try to use System Request options 10, 11, 13, or 14.
|
|
For options 10 and 11, the client PC is the previous system. For options 13
|
|
and 14, the client PC is the home system.</p>
|
|
<p>Your Telnet client is compatible,
|
|
if it passes these two tests:</p>
|
|
<ul><li>You return to the home system after using options 13 or 14.</li>
|
|
<li>You do not drop a session when using options 10 or 11 from the home system.</li>
|
|
</ul>
|
|
<p>For incompatible clients, follow these steps instead of using System
|
|
Request options 10, 11, 13, or 14:</p>
|
|
<ol><li>Use System Request option 11 to move backward from system to system until
|
|
you reach the home system. The home system is the first iSeries to
|
|
which your Telnet client connected at the beginning of the session.</li>
|
|
<li>From the home system, use System Request option 1 to move forward from
|
|
system to system.</li>
|
|
</ol>
