these jobs running in the QSYSWRK subsystem: QTVTELNET and QTVDEVICE.</p>

<p>To

start the Telnet server using iSeries™ Navigator, follow these steps:</p>
|

<ol><li><span>Expand <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">your iSeries server</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Network</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Servers</span> > <span class="uicontrol">TCP/IP</span></span>.</span></li>

<li><span>In the right pane, locate <span class="uicontrol">Telnet</span> in the
|
|
Server Name column.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Confirm that <span class="uicontrol">Started</span> appears in the Status
|
|
column.</span></li>

<li><span>If the server is not running, right-click <span class="uicontrol">Telnet</span> and
|
|
select <span class="uicontrol">Start</span>.</span></li>
