<div><p>Library lists are user-defined lists of libraries that are used
|
|
by the Advanced Job Scheduler when a job is processing.</p>
|
|
<div class="section"><p>A <span class="uicontrol">library list</span> is a user-defined list of
|
|
libraries that is used by the Advanced Job Scheduler job to search for information
|
|
it needs while processing. You can display library lists, add a new library
|
|
list, add a new library list based on an existing one, or remove a library
|
|
list, provided that it is not being used by a currently scheduled job.</p>
|
|
<p>You
|
|
can select a list and display its properties to make changes. You can place
|
|
up to 250 libraries on the library list.</p>
|
|
<p>To add a new library list,
|
|
follow these steps:</p>

<ol><li><span>Open <span class="uicontrol">Work Management</span> from your iSeries
|
|
Navigator window.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Right-click <span class="uicontrol">Advanced Job Scheduler</span> and click <span class="uicontrol">Properties</span>.</span></li>

<li><span>Click the <span class="uicontrol">Library Lists</span> tab.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">New</span> and type a name for the library
|
|
list.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Type a description for the library list.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">Browse</span> to see a list of existing libraries,
|
|
and click a library.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">Add</span> to add the list of selected libraries.</span></li>

Jobs in applications can process simultaneously and one job does not need to wait for another to process. All jobs within the application can be worked with and can have their own set of job defaults.
