<h4 id="rzahydemotemaster">Demote a master</h4>
|
|
<p>To change the role of a server from a master to a replica do the following:</p>
|
|
<ol type="1">
|
|
<li>Connect the Web administration tool to the server that you want
|
|
to demote.</li>
|
|
<li>Click <span class="bold">Manage topology</span>.</li>
|
|
<li>Select the subtree and click <span class="bold">Show
|
|
topology</span>.</li>
|
|
<li>Delete all the agreements for the server you want to demote.</li>
|
|
<li>Select the server you are demoting and click <span class="bold">Move</span>.</li>
|
|
<li>Select the server under which you are going to place the demoted
|
|
server and click <span class="bold">Move</span>.</li>
|
|
<li>Just as you would for a new replica, create new supplier agreements between
|
|
the demoted server and its supplier. See <a href="rzahycreaterep.htm#rzahycreaterep">Create a replica server</a> for
|
|
instructions.</li></ol>
