<div><p>You can use Management Central to gather your PM <span class="keyword">iSeries™</span> performance
|
|
data.</p>
|
|
<div class="section">Perform the following tasks:</div>
|
|
<ol><li><span>Activated PM <span class="keyword">iSeries</span></span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Configured the Universal Connection</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Set up your Management Central network</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Verified that the Electronic Service Agent™ is installed
|
|
on your system or accessible from your system</span></li>
|
|
</ol>
|
|
<div class="section"><p>To gather PM <span class="keyword">iSeries</span> performance
|
|
data on an endpoint system or system group, follow these steps:</p>
|
|
<ol><li>In <span class="keyword">iSeries Navigator</span>, expand <span class="uicontrol">Management
|
|
Central</span>.</li>
|
|
<li>Expand <span class="uicontrol">Endpoint Systems</span> or <span class="uicontrol">System Groups</span>.</li>
|
|
<li>Right-click an endpoint system or a system group, and select <span class="uicontrol">Inventory</span>.</li>
|
|
<li>Select <span class="uicontrol">Collect</span>.</li>
|
|
<li>Select one or more inventories to collect. In this case, you would select <span class="uicontrol">PM <span class="keyword">iSeries</span> performance data</span>.</li>
|
|
<li>If you want an action to run on the central system when collection completes,
|
|
select the action from the list.</li>
|
|
<li>Click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span> to start collecting the data immediately
|
|
or click <span class="uicontrol">Schedule</span> to specify when to collect the data.</li>
|
|
</ol>
|
|
<p>Once you have configured your servers, you are ready to do the other
|
|
tasks to manage PM <span class="keyword">iSeries</span>.</p>
