<h2>System configuration list</h2>
<p>The system configuration list is a printed record of your system contents.
If you plan to change any hardware or software on the system, you need to
know how you have your server configured.</p>
You can print the following:<ul>
<li><a href="rzahgcfgprtcfglistpi.htm">Print the system configuration list</a></li>
<li><a href="rzahgcfgprtbuslistpi.htm">Print the system bus, main storage, or processor information</a></li></ul><p></p>
<p>The printout consists of the following sections: <ul>
<li>System information, which includes the system type, model, serial number,
and release</li>
<li>Packaging hardware resource information, which includes the resource name,
type and model, serial number, part number, frame ID, card position, and device
position</li>
<li>Logical hardware resource information, which includes the resource name,
type and model, serial number, and logical address</li>
<li>A legend, which includes the descriptions of the indicators and logical
address format information</li>
</ul></p>
<p>Periodically, you should print a record of your system contents, such as
your system configuration list and your system's libraries. You should print
this information quarterly, or whenever you make a major change, such as installing
a new application.</p>
