<div><p>Information about the creator of an object and the system on which
it was created is saved in the object description when an object is created.</p>
<p>This information is useful for object management and maintenance.</p>
<ul><li>Creator of the object <ul><li>The creator of the object is the user profile that is performing the create
operation. This is true even if the user profile has a group profile and
the group profile owns the object.</li>
<li>The creator of the object does not change when the ownership changes.</li>
<li>The creator is the creator of the object on the media when an object is
restored.</li>
<li>The creator of the object is the user running the command when an object
is duplicated using the <span class="cmdname">Create Duplicate Object (CRTDUPOBJ)</span> command.</li>
<li>The creator is <samp class="codeph">*IBM</samp> for IBM-supplied objects.</li>
<li>The creator of the object is blank for user objects that already existed
on the system before Version 1, Release 3.0.</li>
</ul>

<li>System on which the object was created <ul><li>When an object is restored, the system created on is the system the object
on the media was created on.</li>
<li>For IBM-supplied objects, the system created on is <samp class="codeph">00000000.</samp></li>
<li>For objects that already existed on the system before Version 1, Release
3.0, the system that is created is blank.</li>
