<div><p>The date separator (QDATSEP) is used as the date separator for
|
|
the default value of the DATSEP job attribute. QDATSEP is also used as the
|
|
date separator you can specify on the initial program load (IPL) options prompt.</p>
|
|
<p>You can change the date separator to reflect the character used to separate
|
|
days, months, and years for your country or location. You can change the date
|
|
separator to any one of the following values:</p>
|
|
<ul><li>A slash (/) as a date separator</li>
|
|
<li>A hyphen (-) as a date separator</li>
|
|
<li>A period (.) as a date separator</li>
|
|
<li>A comma (,) as a date separator</li>
|
|
<li>A blank ( ) as a date separator</li>
|
|
</ul>

<p>If you change this value, the change takes effect for new jobs that enter
|
|
the system after you make the change.</p>
