<div><p>Resequence the system power control network (SPCN) addressing,
|
|
before generating any printouts. This ensures that when the IBM<sup>®</sup> service representative
|
|
performs the SPCN address resequencing after the expansion unit conversion,
|
|
minimal sequencing changes occur.</p>
|
|
<div class="section">To resequence the SPCN addressing, complete the following steps:</div>
|
|
<ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>At an <span class="keyword">i5/OS™</span> command
|
|
line, enter STRSST to start system service tools (SST) on the primary partition
|
|
and sign on to SST.</span> <div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> To use system service tools, you need
|
|
a valid service tools user ID.</div>
|
|
</li>
|
|
<li class="stepexpand"><span>From the SST main menu, select option 5 (Work with system partitions),
|
|
and press Enter. The Work with System Partitions display appears.</span></li>
|
|
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Select option 2 (Work with partition status). The Work with Partition
|
|
Status display appears.</span></li>
|
|
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Type <samp class="codeph">10</samp> next to the Primary Partition (0) and
|
|
press Enter to put the partition in manual mode.</span></li>
|
|
<li class="stepexpand"><span>From the Work with Partition Status display, type <samp class="codeph">33</samp> next
|
|
to the primary partition (0) and press Enter to resequence the SPCN addressing.
|
|
Correct completion of the operation results in the status message <samp class="codeph">Reorder
|
|
SPCN addressing was successful</samp>.</span></li>
