<div><p>This topic shows the status lights for the MLR3 and MLR1 tape units
and provides information for interpreting the display.</p>

for Standardization (ISO) symbols that define the general function of the
status lights as follows:</p>

<td valign="top" width="85.71428571428571%" headers="d0e27 d0e23 ">Disturbance. The amber status light flashes whenever the tape unit
encounters an unrecoverable fault. It is on solid whenever the tape drive
requires cleaning.</td>

<td valign="top" width="85.71428571428571%" headers="d0e32 d0e23 ">Ready. The green status light is on solid whenever the tape unit is
ready to receive the tape backup commands.</td>
