<div><p>There are several different methods that you can use to end an
interactive job.</p>
<div class="p"><ol><li>You can use iSeries™ Navigator
to end the job. From the Confirm Delete/End window you can specify whether
you want this interactive job to end in a controlled manner or immediately.</li>
<li>You can use the End Job (<span class="cmdname">ENDJOB</span>) character-based interface
command.</li>
<li>To end an interactive job immediately using the character-based interface,
use the Sign Off (<span class="cmdname">SIGNOFF</span>) command at the workstation.
To end the connection through the network, use the end connection parameter
(<span class="cmdname">ENDCNN</span>) on the <span class="cmdname">SIGNOFF</span> command.</li>
<li>To disconnect all jobs from a device, use the Disconnect Job (<span class="cmdname">DSCJOB</span>)
command.</li>

and the Confirm Delete/End window, do the following:</div>
<ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>Expand <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">My Connections</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">End
point system </span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">Work Management</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">Active
Jobs</span></span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Right-click the job that you want to end and click <span class="uicontrol">Delete/End</span>.</span> The Confirm Delete/End window appears where you can specify how
and when you want the interactive job to end.</li>
</ol>
<div class="section"><div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> To end all of the interactive jobs associated with the workstation,
or all jobs associated with the group (if the job is a group job), set the
value of the <span class="uicontrol">Action for related interactive jobs</span> field
to either End for group jobs or End all (this is equivalent to the <span class="parmname">ADLINTJOBS</span> parameter
on the <span class="cmdname">ENDJOB</span> command).<p>You can also request the subsystem
to send a message to a message queue when an interactive job has been inactive
for a specified period of time. You, or a program monitoring that message
queue, can then end or disconnect the job.</p>
