<div><p>You can create an archive policy to handle infrequently used objects
on your system.</p>
<div class="section">You can create a new archive policy to control what items you archive
and when. The <strong>New Archive Policy</strong> wizard enables you to create an archive
policy, select the media you want to use for that policy, and then run or
schedule the policy once it is created. You can also create an archive policy
based on the properties of an existing archive policy. To create a new archive
policy, follow these steps: </div>
<ol><li><span>In iSeries™ Navigator,
expand <span class="uicontrol">My Connections</span> (or your active environment).</span></li>
<li><span>Expand a system with Backup, Recovery and Media Services installed
on it.</span></li>
<li><span>Expand <span class="uicontrol">Backup, Recovery and Media Services</span>.</span></li>
<li><span>Right-click <span class="uicontrol">Archive Policies</span>and select <span class="uicontrol">New
Policy</span></span></li>
<li><span>On the <span class="uicontrol">Welcome</span> page, click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li><span>Follow the wizard's instructions to create the archive policy.</span></li>
