<div class="section"><p>The system value components in the vaccess package allow a Java™ program
to create GUIs by using the existing <a href="vpanes.htm#vpanes"> AS400Panes</a> or
by creating your own panes using the Java Foundation Classes(JFC). The <a href="javadoc/com/ibm/as400/vaccess/VSystemValueList.html#VSYSTEMVALUELIST()"> VSystemValueList</a> object represents a system value list
on the server. </p>

<div class="section"><p>To use the System Value GUI component, set the system name with
a constructor or through the <a href="javadoc/com/ibm/as400/vaccess/VSystemValueList.html#SETSYSTEM(COM.IBM.AS400.ACCESS.AS400)"> setSystem()</a> method.</p>
