<p>The <strong>krb5_us_timeofday()</strong> function returns the current time
of day in seconds and microseconds since the epoch (January 1, 1970). The
returned time is calculated using the <strong>gettimeofday()</strong> routine.
This means that the returned time is Coordinated Universal Time. The returned
time also is adjusted for changes made to the software clock by the
<strong>adjtime()</strong> or <strong>settimeofday()</strong> routines.</p>
