<div><p>An SQL package contains the access plans for a distributed SQL
|
|
program.</p>
|
|
<p>An SQL package is an object that is created when: </p>
|
|
<ul><li>A distributed SQL program is successfully created using the RDB parameter
|
|
on CRTSQLxxx commands.</li>
|
|
<li>When the Create SQL Package (CRTSQLPKG) command is run.</li>
|
|
</ul>
|
|
<p>When a distributed SQL program is created, the name of the SQL package
|
|
and an internal consistency token are saved in the program. These are used
|
|
at run time to find the SQL package and to verify that the SQL package is
|
|
correct for this program. Because the name of the SQL package is critical
|
|
for running distributed SQL programs, an SQL package cannot be: </p>
|
|
<ul><li>Moved</li>
|
|
<li>Renamed</li>
|
|
<li>Duplicated</li>
|
|
<li>Restored to a different library</li>
|
|
</ul>
