<h3 id="rzau6sendnet">Send data from a zSeries server to i5/OS network files</h3>
<p>Advanced Function Presentation&trade; (AFP&trade;) resources sent
from an a zSeries&reg; server to an iSeries&trade; server must be sent to network files. </p>

<div class="notebody">AFP data can also be sent to network files. However, this is not the
recommended way to send this data to an iSeries server. If you choose this method,
you must use the Print Advanced Function Presentation Data (PRTAFPDTA)
command to put the file on an output queue.</div>
<p><span class="bold">Sending resources and AFPDS data from VM S/390&reg; to network
files</span></p>
<p>When issued by a VM S/390, this command places the specified file into the
network files of <tt class="xph">userone</tt> on an iSeries server named <tt class="xph">is002</tt>. </p>

<p><span class="bold">Sending resources and AFPDS data from MVS&trade; S/390 to network
files</span></p>
<p>When issued by an MVS S/390, this command places the specified file into a user's
network files. The user is <tt class="xph">userone</tt> and the iSeries server is
named <tt class="xph">is002</tt>.</p>
