<p>The IBM Survey
|
|
Creator application uses the LDAP directory server to authenticate users.
|
|
Authentication takes place through a verification process of searching the
|
|
LDAP directory to check that the user has a valid LDAP entry. The IBM Survey Creator
|
|
application requires user authentication before they have survey administrative
|
|
or owner access. Individual surveys can also require that survey takers be
|
|
authenticated through a login process before taking a survey.</p>
|

<p>IBM Survey
|
|
Creator is designed to work in conjunction with the IBM Business Solution applications. The IBM Business
|
|
Solution applications share the same LDAP directory server if you deploy and
|
|
configure the applications within the same application server run-time environment
|
|
on an <span class="keyword">iSeries™ server</span>.
|
|
If your business applications share the same application server run-time environment,
|
|
you can add an entry in the IBM Telephone Directory V5.2 application to create a
|
|
valid LDAP entry.</p>
