<div><p>After the installation of IBM<sup>®</sup> Telephone Directory V5.2, you may want
the application to use certain information from another LDAP directory server.</p>
<div class="section"><p>You can export existing LDAP information from another server to
an LDAP data interchange format (.ldif) file and import it into your LDAP
directory server. Once the information is in your LDAP directory server, IBM Telephone
Directory V5.2 has access to it.</p>
<div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> These steps are not applicable for
a Domino<sup>®</sup> LDAP
server.</div>
<p>To import an .ldif file to the LDAP directory server, follow
these steps:</p>

<ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>Determine the server that is exporting LDAP information.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>In <span class="keyword">iSeries™ Navigator</span>, expand <span class="uicontrol">Network</span> on
the server that is exporting LDAP information.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Expand <span class="uicontrol">Servers</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">TCP/IP</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Right-click <span class="uicontrol">Directory</span> and select <span class="uicontrol">Tools</span>,
then <span class="uicontrol">Export File</span>.</span> <div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> If you do not specify
a location for the .ldif file to be exported to, it will be saved to the default
directory specified in your <span class="keyword">i5/OS™</span> user
profile. If you have not changed your default directory, the default directory
is the root directory.</div>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Determine the server that is importing the LDAP information.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>If that server's directory server is started, stop it.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>In <span class="keyword">iSeries Navigator</span>, expand <span class="uicontrol">Network</span> on
the server that is importing LDAP information.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Expand <span class="uicontrol">Servers</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">TCP/IP</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Right-click <span class="uicontrol">Directory</span> and select <span class="uicontrol">Tools</span>,
then <span class="uicontrol">Import File</span>.</span></li>
