<div><p>Time management allows you to manage time on your iSeries™ server.</p>
<p>Within the time management component of iSeries Navigator, you can work with
the time zone and time adjustment functions. With these two functions, time
management allows you to choose a time zone for your system to use. In addition,
you can identify the software to use as the time maintenance application that
synchronizes your system time with an external time source.</p>
<br /><img src="rzati001.gif" alt="In iSeries Navigator, the time management component is located under Configuration and Service." /><br /><p>The time zones function allows you to specify a time zone for your system
to use. Many time zone descriptions are provided with the system and you can
also create your own. Time zone descriptions include whether your system should
observe daylight saving time (DST) or not. If DST is being observed, the system
automatically updates your system time for the start and end of DST.</p>
<p>The time adjustment function allows you to adjust the system time by manually
starting a time adjustment. In addition, you can identify a time maintenance
application to use to adjust the system clock to keep it synchronized with
an external time source.</p>
<p>In addition, you can work with time management using iSeries Navigator
tasks on the Web. This allows you to work with time management functions using
a Web browser.</p>
