<div><p>One way to solve the problem of having jobs scheduled to run during
|
|
the starting or ending of daylight saving time (DST) is to delay DST.</p>
|
|
<div class="section">To delay DST for the current time zone, perform the following steps.</div>
|
|
<ol><li><span>In iSeries™ Navigator,
|
|
expand <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">My Connections</span> > <span class="uicontrol">server-name</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Configuration and Service</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Time Management</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Time Zones</span></span>.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>View the time zones listed in the <span class="uicontrol">Available time zones</span> field
|
|
and select the system's time zone.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">Edit</span>.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>On the Daylight Saving Time page, change the Daylight Saving Time <span class="uicontrol">Start</span> or <span class="uicontrol">End</span> field
|
|
to a time when time-sensitive jobs are not active.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span> to save and close the time zone
|
|
properties.</span></li>
|
|
<li><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span> to close the Time Zones dialog
|
|
box.</span></li>
|
|
</ol>

<div class="section"><p>The DST start or end occurs during the time value specified. If
|
|
you do not want to use these time values for the next DST observance, be sure
|
|
to change the time value back to the original start or end time. This ensures
|
|
that it is set correctly for the next DST observance.</p>
