<div><p>Here is a list of commands that are available for tape support.</p>

<dl><dt class="dlterm">ADDTAPCTG</dt>
|
|
<dd>Add Tape Cartridge: The command adds the specified cartridge identifiers
|
|
to a usable category. </dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">CHGJOBMLBA</dt>
|
|
<dd>Change Job MLB Attributes: The command allows a user to change the media
|
|
library resource allocation attributes for a job. </dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">CHGTAPCTG</dt>
|
|
<dd>Change Tape Cartridge: The command changes the specified cartridge from
|
|
any category to the specified category.</dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">CHKTAP</dt>
|
|
<dd>Check Tape: The command searches a tape volume for a specific volume identifier
|
|
or file label.</dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">CPYFRMTAP</dt>
|
|
<dd>Copy from Tape: The command copies records from a tape file to an output
|
|
file or a printer.</dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">CPYTOTAP</dt>
|
|
<dd>Copy to Tape: The command copies records to a tape file from a physical,
|
|
logical, tape, diskette, or spooled inline data file.</dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">CRTTAPCGY</dt>
|
|
<dd>Create Tape Category: The command creates a user-defined category name
|
|
and assigns it to a system name.</dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">DLTTAPCGY</dt>
|
|
<dd>Delete Tape Category: The command deletes a user-defined category name
|
|
that was previously created with the Create Tape Category (CRTTAPCGY) command.
|
|
The command will not delete the category if a cartridge currently uses that
|
|
category.</dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">DMPTAP</dt>
|
|
<dd>Dump Tape: The command dumps label information, data blocks, or both,
|
|
from a tape with or without a label.</dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">DSPTAP</dt>
|
|
<dd>Display Tape: The command displays volume label information,file label
|
|
information, and saved object information for standard label tapes. The command
|
|
displays both the volume type and density for volumes without labels.</dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">DSPTAPCGY</dt>
|
|
<dd>Display Tape Category: The command allows the user to display the categories
|
|
that are defined through the Create Tape Category (CRTTAPCGY) command.</dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">DSPTAPCTG</dt>
|
|
<dd>Display Tape Cartridge: The command displays the attributes of tape cartridges.</dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">DSPTAPSTS</dt>
|
|
<dd>Display Tape Status: The command displays the slot information for the
|
|
library device and tape device information for the tape devices that are attached
|
|
to the library device.</dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">DUPTAP</dt>
|
|
<dd>Duplicate Tape: The command copies the contents of one tape to another.</dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">INZTAP</dt>
|
|
<dd>Initialize Tape: The command initializes tapes, with or without labels,
|
|
or clears all the data on the tape from the load point to the end-of-tape
|
|
marker. </dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">RMVTAPCTG</dt>
|
|
<dd>Remove Tape Cartridge: The command removes the specified cartridge identifiers
|
|
from their current category, or the specified category, and places them in
|
|
the eject (*EJECT) category. The command can move the specified cartridge
|
|
to the Convenience I/O station or to the High Capacity Output station. The
|
|
eject category is not a valid category for I/O operations. The Eject category
|
|
cartridges are disallowed in the tape device. </dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">SETTAPCGY</dt>
|
|
<dd>Set Tape Category: The command allows the user to set a category on a
|
|
tape device within the specified media library.</dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">WRKMLBRSCQ</dt>
|
|
<dd>The command allows a user to work with the resource allocation requests
|
|
for the specified media library device.</dd>
|
|
<dt class="dlterm">WRKTAPCTG</dt>
|
|
<dd>Work with Tape Cartridges: The command allows the user to work with a
|
|
list of tape cartridges.</dd>
