<div><p>The iSeries™ supports
several tape unit types.</p>
<ul><li>7206 Model VX2</li>
<li>7208 Models 002, 012, 222, 232, 234, 342, and 345</li>
<li>9427 Models 210, 211</li>
<li>Feature code 4585 80 GB VXA-2</li>
<li>Feature code 4685 80 GB VXA-2</li>
<li>Feature code 6390</li>
</ul>
<p>The 7206 Model VX2 and 7208 Models 002, 012, 222, 232, 234, 342, and 345
are external tape units for the iSeries server.</p>
<p>Feature codes 4585, 4685, and 6390, are 8mm tape units that are internal
to the iSeries server.</p>
<p>The following table shows which tape cartridges are compatible with 8mm
tape units.</p>

However, if a 20 GB tape is inserted after the drive has been using a lower-density
tape, the 20 GB tape is ejected and the drive will post a "must-clean" message.
The drive must be cleaned using the correct cleaning cartridge before it can
be used again.</li>
